The prototype Omega Ironmaster was introduced in 1957. It is a practical and elegant anti-magnetic watch designed for railway workers or professionals working near magnetic fields. Today, Omega combines industrial spirit with technological innovation, presenting the modern style of the Ironmaster watch.
This watch draws inspiration from denim, featuring a 40mm symmetrical case made of stainless steel, and a corrugated edge design on the case back. The vertically matte “blue denim” textured dial features matte stainless steel hands and embedded hour markers, covered with a light gray Super-LumiNova luminous coating. The dial also features a brown central seconds hand with the word “Railmaster” printed on the dial, showcasing a timeless classic style.
The watch is paired with a “NATO” strap made of blue denim leather. The directional screw-down case back uses NAIAD latch technology to ensure the engraved letters remain in their correct position. Inside, the watch is equipped with the Omega 8806 Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement, which can withstand strong magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss.
